Quality assurance was one of the crucial components of the Gas Permeable Seal Test (Gast) at the Grimsel test site because targets for pre-defined material properties had to be met for the density of the emplaced material. Different QA methods were applied and assessed during the constructon process because it will be crucial during the construction of a repository to ensure the material properties of the plug are consistent with the specifications.
